Stephen Miller Obituary

Stephen Allen Miller, age 72, of the Deep River Community in Sanford, NC, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 at his home.

He was born in Lee County, NC on November 30, 1945 to the late Johnny Willie Miller and Callie Benton Miller.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Wylie Bruce Miller, Jerry Wilson Miller and sister Norman Kay Miller.  Steve was a 1964 graduate of Deep River High School and served our country in the United States Air Force.  He received his Associates Degree from Kings College in Raleigh and retired as an Industrial Mechanic from Honeywell (formerly Allied Fibers).  He loved all things outdoors.  Neighbors were envious of his summer vegetable garden.

He is survived by his wife Linda Williford Miller; son Christopher Miller of Sanford; daughters Kimberley Miller King and husband Michael of Easley, SC, Stephanie Miller of Charlotte, NC, Laurie Nicki Miller of Moore, SC; brothers Michael Miller and wife Debbie of Sanford; sister Billie Hunter of Sanford; grandchildren Alexa King Weese and husband Nathaniel of Greenville, SC and Matthew Michael King of Lake Wales, FL.

A memorial service and gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Sanford Moose Lodge, 308 Makepeace Street, Sanford, NC 27330.
