Ronald Wayne Morris

Ronald Wayne Morris, age 77, of Sanford, NC, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

He was born in Lee County on July 12, 1940 to the late Clarence Wade Morris and Florence Pauline Newell Morris.  Mr. Morris was retired after 21 years of serving our country in the United States Air Force.  After his military career he worked 10 years for Sanford Finishing.  Favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR.

He is survived by his wife, of 56 years, Patsy “Pat” Hale Morris; sons Jamie Morris and wife April of Sanford, Michael Morris of Abilene, TX; daughter Rhonda Morris Tucker and husband Glenn of Sanford; sisters Catherine Morris Spivey of Sanford, Brenda Morris Fromer and husband Kenneth of Greensburg, IN; four grandchildren Samuel Tucker, Christopher Morris, Mikhaila Morris and Jesse Morris; and one great-grandchild Scotty Morris.

The family will receive friends at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home on Thursday, April 12 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and other times at the family home.  The funeral service will be Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow at the Spring Lake State Veterans Cemetery at 12:00 PM with full military honors.
