Rodney Coilin “RC” Haynes, age 72 of Sanford, NC, died Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at his home with his wife of 50 years by his side.

He was born in Opelika, Alabama on January 30, 1945 to the late Roddrick Mordacia Haynes and Mary Ethel Gill Haynes.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Cecilia Diana Haynes.  RC was a member of Central Baptist Temple and was a career salesman for ADT Security before his retirement.  He served our country in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his wife Betty Sue Ashworth Haynes; daughters Pamela Denise Ferrell and husband Todd of Cornelius, NC, Donna Cheryl Haynes-Day and partner Joe Bonomolo of Wilson, NC; brother Wendell O. Haynes of Sanford; and four grandchildren Dillon and Faith Ferrell and Austin and Elliot Day.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and the funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Chaplain Joel Cameron officiating.  Burial will follow at Buffalo Cemetery.
