Richard Ronald (Ronnie) Jones

Richard Ronald “Ronnie” Jones, age 65, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at his home.

He was born in Lee County, NC on December 8, 1952 to the late Samuel Lynn Jones and Emily Aileen White Jones.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Samuel Thomas Jones; his brother, Terry Lynn Jones; his paternal grandparents, Benjamin Harrison Jones and Delia Key Jones and by his maternal grandparents, Harvey Hay White and Lilian Brooks White. Ronnie proudly served his country in the United States Army which included a tour in Germany.  He worked for many years in sales at Hometown Builders.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Nicholson Jones; his daughter-in-law, Amanda Hicks Jones; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Harden Jones; six nieces and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Jonesboro Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Taylor officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
