Patsy Faye (Holder) Smith

Patsy Faye Holder Smith, age 70, of Sanford passed away on Friday, November 8, 2019 at her home.

She was born in Lee County on January 16, 1949 to the late Alexander Daniel Holder and Georgie Hickman Holder.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Holder and his wife, Becky and sister, Lib Cameron.  She was a longtime member of Olivia Presbyterian Church and worked many years as sales secretary at Champion Homes.

Patsy is survived by her husband, Warren “Smitty” Smith; daughter, Shannon Flynn and husband, Jerry of Sanford; three brothers, Bobby Holder and wife, Laura, Danny Holder and wife, Susan and Tommy Holder and wife, Tessia all of Sanford; sisters, Bonnie Quesenberry and husband, Ezra of Southern Pines, Nancy McDuffie and Polly Bouldin both of Sanford; brother-in-law, Johnny Cameron of Sanford and one grandchild, Peyton Flynn.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and at other times at Shannon’s home located at 73 Hickman Lane in Sanford.  The funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Olivia Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bob Johnson and Rev. George Walton officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
