Otis (Lett) Wallace

Otis Lett Wallace, age 93, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Westfield Rehab. Center in Sanford surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Wallace was born in Lee County, on Oct. 22, 1924, to the late Gray Lett and Elsie Sloan Lett.  She owned Otis’ Beauty Salon in Sanford and was a business owner in North Myrtle Beach, SC as well.  She enjoyed spending time with her friends fishing on Cherry Grove Pier in North Myrtle Beach, SC.  She also loved dancing and enjoyed music with her friends at the Enrichment Center of Lee County.  She was preceded in death by her husband “Buddy’ Wallace; a sister Eunice Dotterer; and a grandson Dustin Wallace. 

Surviving relatives include her two sons, Eddie G Wallace and wife June of Sanford and Jerry Wade Wallace of Carthage; a sister, Nellie Cox of Sanford; three grandchildren, Angie Hegwer (Hal), Rodney Wallace (Heather), and Wade Wallace (Dana); six great grandchildren, Tyler Wallace, Caroline Hegwer, Carly Hegwer, Hunter Wallace, Luke Wallace and Kasey Wallace.

A graveside service will be held at Buffalo Cemetery on Monday, April 30, 2018, 4PM with Dr. Bill Hayes officiating.  No visitation will be held at the funeral home.
