Norma Jean (Gonella) Gunter

Norma Jean Gonella Gunter, age 85, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at her home.

Mrs. Gunter was born in Lee County on, May 21, 1932, to the late Franze Gonella and Leta Bobbitt Gonella.  She was a homemaker.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Blue Gunter, a son, Donnie Blue Gunter and several brothers.

Surviving relatives include her daughter Diane Gunter Spivey and husband Russell of Sanford; sons, Joseph Gunter and wife Angelika of Aberdeen, Bobby Gunter of Mamers, and Terry Gunter of Sanford; sisters, Marie Burge and Bonnie Whitaker both of Sanford; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 21, 2018, from 6 to 8PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and other times at the family home.  A private burial will be held at a later date in the Jonesboro Cemetery with Billy Douglas presiding.
