Nancy (Wright) Corder

Nancy Wright Corder, age 69, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Central Carolina Hospital.

She was born in Washington, DC on November 24, 1948 to the late Robert Wright and Frances Reams Wright.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Chalmers Griffin and Don Hancock.  Nancy was a retired insurance agent.  She was a life-member of VFW Post 5631 where she served as Auxiliary President for three years.

Nancy is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Corder; daughter, Dawn Dean and husband, Mike of Sanford; step-daughter, Amy Corder of Sanford; step-son, Tim Corder and wife, Kelly of Raleigh; brother, Gene Wright and wife, LaVerne of Broadway; two sisters, Peggy Daniels of Asheville and Frances Wright; four grandchildren, Braxton Dean, Lindsay Cotten, Jeremy Cotten and Margaret Ann Corder and one great-grandson, Blake Dean.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at the VFW Post 5631, 1500 Veterans Way, Sanford, NC.  A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM with Jim Brady officiating.
