Mrs. Mary Jo Watson Stewart-Seymore, age 83, of Broadway, N. C. and Myrtle Beach, S. C., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.

Mrs. Stewart-Seymore was born in Caswell County, N. C. on Oct. 29, 1934, to the late Bruce Bryant Watson and Ruth Beatrice Brim Watson.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Stewart. 

She is survived by her husband, Stephen D. Seymore, Jr.; a son, Bryan Stewart and  wife Erin of Aiken, S.C.; a step-son, Jeffrey Seymore and wife Cathy of Daniel Island, S.C.; a daughter, Helen Smith and husband Johnny of Sanford, N.C.; two step-daughters, Melite Secino and husband Joe of Fredericksburg, VA and Jenny Seymore Tier of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two brothers, Larry Watson and wife, Jerry of Cary, N.C., and Bruce Watson and wife Barbara of Sanford, N.C.; a sister, Donna Weeks and husband Art of Eastover, N.C.;  eight grandchildren, Lauren Stewart Garcia, Brittany Smith Creasman, Katharine Stewart, Jennifer Stewart, Celeste Seymore, Gabrielle Seymore, Lacy Tier, Katie Secino; and two great-grandchildren, Celeste Garcia and Lillian Stewart.

A celebration of life service will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on February 3, 2018 in the Proctor Building of Congregational Christian Church, 326 McIver Street, Sanford, NC.
