Mark Allen Wicker

Mark Allen Wicker, age 54, of Sanford, NC, died Thursday, August 23, 2018 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

He was born in Lee County, NC on July 3, 1964 to the late Julian Talmadge Wicker and Nina Apple Wicker.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a nephew, Andrew Kelly Wicker and L.B., his four-legged best friend.   Mark was a poultry farmer in the Broadway area.

He is survived by his wife Judy Lynn Gervais Wicker; daughters Ashton Wicker Byrd and husband Jonathan of Sanford, Taylor Elizabeth Wicker of Broadway; brothers Robert Dale Wicker and wife Karen of Carthage, Julian Turner Wicker and wife Charlene of Sanford; sister Wynne Wicker Fields and husband Charles of Goldston, and grandchildren Ryan Byrd, Rylan Gonella and Harper Gonella.

The family will receive friends at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home, Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a memorial service following in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Scott Yow and Officer Scott Hair officiating.
