Maggie (Simpson) Yarborough

Maggie Simpson Yarborough, age 83, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, NC.

She was born in Moore County on May 28, 1935 to the late John Franklin Simpson and Ola Mae Bullins Simpson.  She grew up in Cameron and attended Cameron Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Milford Hunter Yarborough; two brothers and three sisters.

Maggie is survived by her two sons, Richard Yarborough and wife, Pamela of Fayetteville, NC and Steve Yarborough and wife, Donna of Colfax, NC; one daughter, Judy Y. Perry and husband, Shawn of Lexington, NC; a brother, Lonnie Simpson and wife, Diane of Florida; three sisters, Wilma Carter of Southport, NC, Betty Thomas and husband, Jim of Sanford, NC and Bonnie Denny of Carthage, NC; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at 12:00 PM with Dieter Motz officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cameron Community Cemetery.
