Lois Bernice Helms Beal, age 83, of Sanford, NC, died Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Sanford Health & Rehabilitation Center with her family by her side.

She was born in Lincoln County, NC on May 4, 1934 to the late Grady Helms and Tollie Edison Helms.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Edgar Beal and siblings Conley, Edward, Dorothy “Dot”, Lucille and Prue.

Mrs. Beal worked many years in the textile manufacturing industry and helped her daughter Libby with her cleaning business.  She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and loved her Lord.

She is survived by sons Roger Beal and wife Linda of Charlotte, Danny Beal and wife Kay of Lincolnton, Tim Beal and wife Bobi of Missouri; daughter Libby Beal and husband Jimmy of Sanford; brother Ervin Helms and wife Colleen of Charlotte; sisters Shirley Finney and husband Jerry of Hickory, Elsie Herman of Hickory and Barbara Aasness of Charlotte; grandchildren Heather Deiny and Jeremy Beal; step-granddaughter Jamie Savage and husband Jason; great-grandchild Chloe Deiny and step-great-granddaughter Kara Savage.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and her memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Darin Vogt officiating.
