Lawrence Armstrong Obituary
Lawrence Sherwood Armstrong, age 90, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018 at his home.
He was born in Norwich, Connecticut on July 31, 1928 to the late Walter Armstrong and Anna Emily Luppert Armstrong. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Lawrence was a retired civil service employee and a Korean War Veteran in the US Army.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Lillian Messier Armstrong; four daughters, Barbara Duggan of Pittsboro, Nancy Avery and husband, Arthur of Connecticut, Laurie Armstrong of Sanford and Doris Lucas and husband, Gary of Florida; sister, Marilyn Armstrong of Connecticut; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Chatham Memorial Park with Pastor David Sherrod officiating.
