Kenneth McFarland Obituary

Kenneth James McFarland, age 50, of Sanford, NC, died Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the First Health Hospice House in Moore County.

He was born in Lee County, NC on August 22, 1969 to Timothy “Tim” Worth McFarland and Sandra Clifton Fleming.  Kenneth graduated from Western Harnett High School and received Associate Degrees from Sandhills Community College and Cape Fear Community College.  He worked as a surgical technician for New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He is survived by his father Timothy “Tim” Worth McFarland and wife Lynn and mother Sandra Clifton Fleming and husband Howard all of Sanford; sister Julie McFarland Wilder and husband Jeff of Sanford; brother Brian McFarland and wife Jennifer of Sanford; step-siblings Valerie Myers of Burlington, Chris Fleming and wife Andrea of Raleigh, Sara Hinshaw and husband Ed of Durham, Dana Kennedy and husband Joey of Holly Springs, Holly Holder and husband Jason of Elon, Stacy Perry of Sanford. 

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church and at other times at the home of Tim and Lynn McFarland.  The funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM with Rev. Darin Vogt officiating.  Burial will follow at Buffalo Cemetery.
