Joni Brown (Love) Ramey

Joni Brown Love Ramey, age 59, of Sanford, NC, died Saturday, October 27, 2018 at her parent’s home.

She was born in Lee County, NC on December 9, 1958 to Jimmy Lewis Love, Sr. and Etta Brown Howard Love of Sanford.  Joni was a graduate of the 1977 graduating class of Sanford Central High School and a graduate of Appalachian State University.  She worked 30 plus years for Wake Med in Raleigh as a Medical Laboratory Technician and was a member of First Baptist Church of Sanford.

In addition to her parents, Joni is survived by two sons Matthew Ramey of Raleigh and Michael Ramey of Broadway, former husband Tony Ramey of Sanford; siblings Jimmy Lewis Love Jr. and wife Kim, Melody Love Watts and husband Chip and Mark Webster Love all of Sanford.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Sanford with Dr. Matt Garrett officiating.  The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service and at other times at Jimmy & Etta Love’s home.  A private inurnment in the church’s columbarium will be held prior to the memorial service.
