John Wayne Deal, 63, of Sanford went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Wayne was a member of Sanford Freewill Holiness Church and was also a US Army Veteran.  He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed woodworking.  He is preceded in death by his parents: John Mack Deal and Mary Elizabeth Deal and a brother: Connie Deal.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 2PM in the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home in Sanford with Pastor Pearl Castleberry officiating.  Interment with military honors will immediately follow at Lemon Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one and half hours prior to the service (12:30PM to 2PM) at the funeral home and at other times at the home of their daughter, Tracy Denkins.

Surviving is his loving wife of forty-five years: Peggy Deal; daughter: Tracy Denkins and husband, Joshua; sons: Christopher “Chris” Deal and Joseph “Joe” Deal all of Sanford; grandchildren: Natalie, Kinsley, Katelyn, Brianna, Jaylei and Cami; brothers: Billy Deal of Lemon Springs, Jacky Deal and wife, Jane of Fayetteville, Ronald Deal and wife, Gloria of Lemon Springs and Eddie Deal of Lemon Springs; sister: Sue Treece and husband, Terry of Sanford; sister-in-law: Judy Deal of Lemon Springs; brother-in-law: Homer Mullins and wife, Janet of Sanford; and many nieces and nephews.
