James Malcom Cameron

James Malcom Cameron, age 86, of Cameron, died on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Pinehurst Health and Rehab. Center in Pinehurst.

Mr. Cameron was born on Sept. 14, 1931 to the late Turner Cameron and Nannie Shaw Cameron.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Frieda Burkhardt; siblings Frank Cameron, Ruth Yow, and Frances Medlin.

Surviving relatives include his son, Ben Cameron and wife Becky of Cameron; grandchildren Claire Cameron; and step-grandchildren, Emily Carlson and Jenny Carlson.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 29, 2018, 6-8PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  The funeral will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2018, 11AM at Cameron Presbyterian Church with Rev. Katherine Dudley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cameron Community cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations are requested to First Health Hospice in Pinehurst.
