Ilean O’Quinn Ridenhour, age 87, of Sanford, NC, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Central Carolina Hospital.

She was born in Harnett County, NC on February 17, 1930 to the late Robert Wilson O’Quinn and Lessie Godfrey O’Quinn.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Hugh Ridenhour, Jr.; and sisters Lillie Walker and Nellie Holder and numerous nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Ridenhour worked for ServeTex and was a member of Edgewood Presbyterian Church participating in the Circle Number 1 Women of the Church group. She loved visiting the sick and shut-in’s and put others before herself.

She is survived by a daughter Janice Scott and husband David of Sanford; granddaughters Cindy Scott and husband Richard of Mamers, Beth Scott Singer and husband Rusty of Sanford, Mary Lee Scott Byrd and husband Thesley, Jr. of Sanford; great-grandchildren Brooke Nicole Singer, Hailey Alexis Byrd, Meghan Lee Byrd and Adelyn Hunter Byrd.

The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of Edgewood Presbyterian Church on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with the funeral service following at 2:00 PM with Dr. Bill Hayes officiating.  Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.
