Gary Wayne Gaupp

Gary Wayne Gaupp, age 69, of Southern Pines, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital.

He was born in Atlantic County, New Jersey on June 8, 1949 to the late Alvin George Gaupp and Myrtle Catherine Corson Gaupp. He graduated with his undergraduate degree from Greensboro College.  He continued his studies at various seminaries and become an ordained minister.   Gary ministered in a wide variety of dominations.  His passion was leading people to Christ and working with children through outdoor camp ministries. 

Gary is survived by his wife, Nancy Gail Hurley Gaupp; daughter, Treva Lynn Gaupp of Columbus, Ohio; aunt, Mary Lou Bushay of New Jersey; sister, Brenda Gaupp Daniels of Absecon, New Jersey.  He is also survived by his pup, Maple Marie who was his constant companion and best friend. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.  The funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Robert Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow in Flat Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
