Flora Belle (Lawrence) Taylor

Flora Lawrence Taylor, age 94, of Sanford, NC, died Friday, October 12, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Lee County, NC on January 6, 1924 to the late Wade Hampton Lawrence and Mary Robert Dalrymple Lawrence.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Grayson Melvin Taylor and twin sisters Reva Holder and Treva Little.  Mrs. Taylor was a loving homemaker who excelled in quilting, sewing, and gardening.  She was an avid bowler and loved to talk and visit with friends and family.  She was a life-long member of Jonesboro Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by four daughters Lanelia Taylor Pettus of Sanford, Landa Taylor Vaughn of Broadway, Jane Taylor Dinkins of Sanford, Lane Taylor Strickland and husband Jonathan of Fayetteville; 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 15, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the fellowship hall of Jonesboro Presbyterian Church and at other times at the family home.  The service will follow at 11:00 AM in the church sanctuary with Rev. John Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow at Buffalo Cemetery.
