Elizabeth "Lib" (Gaddy) Fraley Spivey

Mrs. Elizabeth “Lib” Gaddy Fraley Spivey, age 85, of Sanford, NC, died Friday, December 7, 2018 at home.  Mrs. Spivey was a member of Grace Chapel Church, where she was an active member of the Anne Belle Register Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Spivey was born October 2, 1933, to the late Davis Gaddy and Lillie Alma Cameron Gaddy.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Sloan Fraley; son William Sloan (Bill) Fraley; second husband, William Ervin Spivey; three sisters, Thelma Medlin Dyer, Carol Perry and Shirley Medlin; and by three brothers, Pearson “Pete” Gaddy, Thomas Edison “Coon” Gaddy and James Martin Gaddy.

Mrs. Spivey is survived by a son, Larry Fraley and wife Janice, of Sanford; daughter-in-law, Shelia Fraley (wife of the late Bill Fraley); four grandchildren; Brad (Bic) Fraley; Shelley (Scott) O’Quinn; Kevin Fraley; Kellie (Jeff) Smith; and seven great-grandchildren; Taylor, Dylan and Landon O’Quinn; KJ and Kash Fraley; Taylor and Bethany Smith.  Mrs. Spivey is also survived by a sister, Betty Jean (Bet) Polk of Franklinton, LA.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 10, 2018 at Grace Chapel Church from 3:15 PM to 4:30 PM with the funeral service following at 4:30 PM with Rev. Joel Murr and Rev. Bob Yandle officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
