Charlotte Wray Ostrowski Strickland, age 83, of Sanford, NC, died Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Sanford Health and Rehabilitation. 

She was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Thomas Ostrowski and Wilhilmina Molosic Ostrowski.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Delbert Strickland and a brother, Thomas Ostrowski.  Mrs. Strickland served her country in the US Air Force.  She was a member of Grace Chapel Church for many years where she enjoyed singing in the choir and teaching a Sunday School class.  Thru the years, she was employed as an administrative assistant at The TLC Home, Lee County Health Department, Sanford Central High School and Jonesboro Elementary.   Her hobbies included sewing. She loved animals.

Charlotte is survived by her sons, Mitchell Strickland and wife, Lisa of Sanford, Marc Strickland and wife, GiGi of Raleigh; one daughter, Donna Strickland of Sanford; five grandchildren, Tyler Strickland, Meaghann Daniel and husband, Michael, Brandon Strickland, Harrison Strickland and wife, Marcia and Justin Strickland.  She is also survived by her “sisters”, Betty Glass and Jeanie Caswell who were lifelong friends. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Grace Chapel Church.  The funeral service will follow at Grace Chapel Church at 3:00 PM. with Rev. Joel Murr and Rev. David Yarborough officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery beside her late husband.
