Carl Eugene Bunnell

Carl Eugene Bunnell, age 62, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill with his family by his side.

He was born in Lee County on September 13, 1955 to the late John William Bunnell and Jerlene Harrison Bunnell.  He was owner and operator of Quail Ridge Golf Course for many years prior to his retirement.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Vicki Wall Bunnell; one son, Kevin Michael Bunnell of Sanford; a daughter, Shana Bunnell Kaczmarek and wife, Kate of Greensboro; brother, Johnny Bunnell and wife, Darlene of Sanford; a sister, Renee Bunnell of Sanford; a grandson, Crew Kaczmarek and many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Rocky Fork Christian Church with Rev. Ed Koffenberger and Rev. Vanya Mullinax officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
