Bruce Edgar Marion

Bruce Edgar Marion was born November 12, 1930 in Lee County, the son of Raymond Jerry Marion and Mary Esther Simpson.  Bruce passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at Pine Lake Health Center in Carthage.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Peggy E. Edwards, two infant sisters Ruth M. Marion, Barbara J. Marion and a step-son Gregg Whitt.  Bruce was a lifetime member of Rocky Fork Christian Church and was retired from the North Carolina Department of Corrections.

Bruce is survived by his wife Laura Holt Marion; son Ronnie B. Marion and wife April, daughter Teresa L. Marion, step-daughter Sue Hurley and husband Mark - all of Cameron; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, December 29, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with Rev. Misty Mowrey officiating.  Burial will follow at Rocky Fork Christian Church cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the burial in the church fellowship hall.
