Bruce Edward Hickman, age 74, of Sanford, NC, died Saturday, January 6, 2018 at his home.

He was born in Lee County on September 25, 1943 to the late Robert Hickman, Sr. and Oma Gracie Holder Hickman.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia King Hickman; three brothers, Ronald Wade Hickman, J.D. Hickman and Robert Junior Hickman and by one sister, Margie H. Nixon.

Bruce is survived by two sisters, Shirley Spivey of Sanford and Thelma Wall also of Sanford; two step-sons, Johnny King and wife, Laura of Sanford, William Youngblood of Sanford and by many nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at11:00 am at Buffalo Cemetery with Rev. Charlie Hickman officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Shirley Spivey 8694 Cox Mill Road, Sanford, NC 27332.

Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made in Bruce’s memory to Morris Chapel United Methodist Church, 8533 Cox Mill Road, Sanford, NC 27332.
