Brenda Jean Johnson Whitt, age 48, of Sanford, NC, died Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at her home.

She was born in Orange County, NC on January 26, 1969 to Charlie Lawrence Johnson and Bobbie Jean Newell Barham.  Her father preceded her in death along with her late husband Robin Whitt, Sr., son Cody Whitt and siblings Phillips Johnson and Patricia McLean.  Brenda’s greatest love was her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her mother Bobbie Jean Newell Barham and husband Stanley of Cameron; boyfriend Douglas B. Perdue; sons Timothy Johnson and fiancé Lisa Johnson of Robbinsville, NC, Robin Leonard Whitt, Jr. of Sanford, Travis Monroe Whitt of Sanford, Joshua O’Neil Whitt and wife Doribel of Sanford; daughter Candace Whitt and fiancé Christian Carnegie of Sanford; brothers Eddie Newell of Gulf, Charlie L. Johnson of Sanford; sisters Sherrie Norris of Erwin, Betty Holt and husband Russell of Kentucky; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and the funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Chaplain Joel Cameron officiating.  Burial will follow at Brush Creek Baptist Church cemetery in Siler City, NC.
