Betty (Rogers) Speagle

Betty Rogers Speagle, age 84, of Broadway, NC, died Sunday, October 14, 2018 at her home.

She was born in Lee County, on September 1, 1934 to the late Alton Lee Rogers and Mackie Collins Rogers.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank M. Speagle.

She is survived by her children, Frankie “Pete” Speagle and wife, Becky of Sanford, James Speagle and wife, Betty of Johnsonville, Dock Speagle and wife, Michelle of Broadway, Perry Speagle of Cameron, Deborah Leviner of Broadway and Peggy Woody and husband, Henry of Sanford; sisters, Lois Holder of Sanford, Vernell Rogers of Sanford, Pauline Stone of Sanford; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and many other adopted children and grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held at New Life Praise Church on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Roger Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow in Lee Memory Gardens.
