Betty Rae (Mauldin) Holder

Betty Rae Mauldin Holder, age 82, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at UNC Medical Center.

She was born in Montgomery County on February 23, 1936 to the late Thomas Ivey Mauldin and Flora Smith Wilmoth.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmas Douglas Holder; son, Delmas “Dale” Douglas Holder, Jr.; brothers, Ralph Wilmoth, Clarence Wilmoth, Bob Wilmoth, Stuart (Pee Wee) Wilmoth and Thomas Jasper Mauldin; sister, Ernestine Seagroves.  Betty Rae worked at Lufkin and Cornell Dublilier before retiring from Eaton Corporation. She dedicated her life and love to her children and grandchildren.

Betty Rae is survived by her daughters, Sherri Rae Holder of Sanford, Traci Lynn Holder of Sanford; brothers, Francis Wilmoth and wife, Pat of Carthage, Wayne Wilmoth and wife, Libby of Sanford; a sister, Joyce Wilmoth and husband, Randy Teague of Greensboro; sister-in-law, Bonnie Southerland of Sanford; grandchildren, Crystal Rae Cope, Kerry Jasper Norris and Karson Holder; great-grandchildren, Alexia Lynn Gillis and Maddison Dale Cope.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memory Gardens. Prior to the services, the family will receive friends at the home of Crystal Cope 101 Dale-O-Lane, Sanford, NC 27330.
