Barbara Anne (Pulliam) Harrison

Barbara Harrison, age 77, of Sanford, NC died Saturday, September 28, 2019 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC.

Barbara was born in Greensboro, NC on January 4, 1942, to the late Ermo Cluris Pulliam and Mary Ethel Wilson Pulliam. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bobby” Lee Harrison; daughter Deborah Harrison Morrison; son-in-law Ronald Kevin “Buddy” Morrison; and granddaughter Kyndle Lea Harrison. Barbara worked for Wagner’s Jewelry Store, was a teacher’s assistant at Broadway Elementary and ran her own store, “Barbara’s Barn”, for a number of years. She was a long-time member of Edgewood Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Nannie Monroe Sunday School Class, and both President and Secretary of the Women of the church, was on the decorating committee and sang in the church choir.  She loved gardening and working in the yard, cooking, crafting and spending time with her family and friends. 

Surviving relatives include her children, Charles Harrison and wife Paula of Sanford and Gary Harrison and wife Jennifer of Sanford; grandchildren Drew Anne, Kanten, Katie, Kayla, Aaron, Kacie, Kolby and LeAnn; great-grandchild Kylie; siblings Frances Griffin, Sue Sumner and husband Jimmy of Douglas, GA. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 pm at Edgewood Presbyterian Church.  The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM with Jody McNeill officiating.  Burial will follow at Buffalo Presbyterian Cemetery.
