Mrs. Virginia Estelle Rosser Barnhill, age 88, of Sanford, N.C. died Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Parkview Retirement Center.

Mrs. Barnhill was born on Oct. 23, 1926, in Harnett County, N.C. to the late Joseph Lexie Rosser and Nina Nordan Rosser.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Alton Barnhill and by a sister, Magaline Thomas Hunter. 

She is survived by a son, Dale Barnhill of Chapel Hill and fiancée, Patricia Hamilton; a daughter, Denise O’Geary and husband Hal of Henderson, N.C.; a brother, Joseph Milton Rosser of  Chickamauga, Georgia; a sister, Geraldine Morris of Sanford, N.C. and by two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 18, 2015 from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home Chapel.  The funeral will follow at the chapel at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Russell Blackmon officiating. 

Burial will follow on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at 11:30 P.M. at Pineview Memorial Cemetery in Rocky Mount, N.C.
