Swannie Frye “Pat” Cameron, age 88, of Vass, NC, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, at First Health Hospice House in Pinehurst.

She was born in Moore County on October 9, 1928, to the late Edgar Artemas Frye and Ollie Williamson Frye.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Randall Cameron; a son, Randy Cameron; a brother Carson Frye and sister Vonnie Mae Allred.  Mrs. Cameron worked as an Assistant Librarian for Union Pines School prior to retirement.

She is survived by her son, M. Craig Cameron of Vass; brothers Roy Edgar Frye of Vass and Tommy Frye and wife Ruby of Cameron; grandchildren Kelly True and husband Joe and Lindsay Collins and husband Jeremy; great grandchildren Lily True and Jack True.

The family will receive friends Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, from 6 to 8 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be at Vass United Methodist Church, Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, 2:00 PM with Rev. Berry Barbour officiating.  Burial will follow at Johnson Grove Cemetery.
