Stacy Early Norris, age 78, of Broadway, NC, died Friday, July 21, 2017 at his home.

He was born in Harnett County, NC on August 23, 1938 to the late Wallace Early “Doc” Norris and Pauline Hardison Norris.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a step-mother Louise Collins Norris, brother Samuel Junior Norris and step-brother Timothy McLaurin Thomas.  Stacy worked many years for Twin City Dry Cleaners.  Before working in dry-cleaning he farmed with Cameron-Harrington Farms and later with Alton Rollins Brick Mason.

He is survived by his wife Ellan Patterson Norris; son Chad Bradley Norris and wife Tracy of Sanford; daughter Kristie Lynn Cook and husband Barry of Perry, OK; brothers Jerry Wayne Norris of Sanford, James Thomas Norris and wife Jean of Clearwater, FL; step-brother Kenneth Darryl Thomas of Mamers; sister Wanda Kay Norris of Mamers; sister-in-law Karolina Norris of Mechanicsville, VA; grandchildren Samuel Scarbrough and wife Angie, Heather Anderson, Bethany Norris, Eli Norris; and great-grandchildren Alyssa Garcia, Braydon Thorton and Jaxon Thorton.

The family will receive friends at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 26th at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Yow and Rev. Shane Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow at Holly Springs Baptist Church cemetery.
