Robert Jordan Mayne, Jr., age 66, of Sanford, NC, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016 at his home.

Born in Lee County on Sept. 17, 1950, he was the son of the late Robert Jordan Mayne and Elsie Lamm Mayne.  He worked as a mechanic for a textile machinery company prior to retirement.  Robert served his country in the US Air Force including a tour of duty in Vietnam.

He is survived by sister, Laura Lee Holder and husband Bob of Sanford and a niece Carleigh Reagan Weaver of Sanford.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, from 1-2PM at Swann Station Baptist Church.  The memorial service will follow at 2PM also at the church with Rev. Russell Blackmon presiding.
