Robert Lee Allen, age 66, of Sanford, NC, died Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at his home.

He was born in Lee County, NC on March 15, 1951 to the late James Robert Allen and Ila Mae Rhodes Allen.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother James Edward Allen and sister Dianne Allen Marrero.  Robert was an HVAC technician and sheet metal Forman for heating & air companies. He served our country in the United States Army and loved fishing and finding deals at thrift shops around town. 

He is survived by son Bryan Allen and wife Dianne of Spring Lake; daughter Christy Talbott and husband Tim of Carthage; brother Kenneth Earl Allen and wife Mary Jane of Sanford; sister Mary Ann Patterson of Sanford; grandson Joshua Lee Howard and wife Paige; step-granddaughter Charlotte Leigh Talbott; and step-grandsons Tyrone Williams, Charles Williams and Benjamin Williams.  He is also survived by his special four-legged “son” Zeus, his precious dog.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 21, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with his memorial service following at 5:00 PM in the chapel of the Funeral Home with Chaplain Joel Cameron and Rev. Dennis Patterson officiating.
