Richard Earl Lawrence, age 33, of Carthage, NC, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at his home.

He was born in Chapel Hill, NC to Ricky Lawrence and Debbie Lawrence.  Richard was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Peggy Jean Bray and Beverly Allen and by a special uncle, Billy Lawrence.  Richard enjoyed his work at Frontier Spinning.  He loved UNC Tarheels football and basketball.  He was a people person and never missed the opportunity to make a new friend.  He loved life and would always find a way to make something out of nothing.

Richard is survived by his parents, Ricky and Debbie; his fiancé, Terri Lockamy; one son, Ryker Goins; three daughters, Anna Lawrence, Alexandra Lawrence, Victoria Lawson; two sisters, Sandra and William Tilley of Southern Pines and Angela and Steve Joyner of Carthage; future mother-in-law, Bonnie Nedrow; six nephews, Kendall and Jamison Fowler, Tyler and Jacob Joyner, Johnathan Lockamy and Jarrid Lynch.

A gathering to remember and celebrate Richard’s life will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the home of his parents, 2720 Willett Road, Sanford, NC 27332.
