Pauline Price Gunter, age 77, of Sanford, NC, died Thursday, August 3, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Marion County, South Carolina on January 13, 1940 to the late James Fodie Price and Rosa Lee Rouse Price.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Carl Gunter and a brother, Boyd Kay.

Pauline is survived by her three daughters, Susan Gunter Howington of Sanford, Tammy Gunter Stewart and husband, Ricky of Sanford and Lisa Gunter Doberstein and husband, Bobby of Sanford; two sisters, Darlene Price Jenkins and husband, Earl of Shady Valley, Tennessee and Barbara Price Norris and husband, Ray of Broadway; three grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Shallow Well Church with Rev. Donald Thompson officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.
