Mary Lois Rouse Sturm, 79 of Sanford, NC passed into eternity Saturday, August 26, 2017 at her home.

She was born in Dillon, SC and was preceded in death by her parents, George H. and Daisy Price Rouse; a sister, Betty Lou Rouse and Hilda Rouse Daurity.

Mrs. Sturm leaves behind her husband, Frederick Peter Sturm of Sanford; her four children, Linda Groce Elkins of Goldston, William Bradley Patterson, Jack Darrin Patterson both from Sanford, and Jill Patterson Adcock of Whispering Pines.  Step-sons, Scott Sturm of Raleigh, Mike Sturm of Palm Garden, FL, and Patrick Sturm of Mt. Airy, NC.  Mary has eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, six step grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. 

Arrangements will be made by Bridges-Cameron and a memorial service will be held at Shallow Well UCC on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, 3PM with Rev. Donnie Thompson and Rev. Marty Johnson presiding.  The family will receive friends after the service.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Shallow Well Church, 1220, Broadway Rd., Sanford, NC  27330 and/or to Amedisys Hospice Care, 220 New Fidelity Court, Garner, NC  27529.
