Mary Ruth Key Nickens, age 81, of Cameron, NC, died Sunday, May 28, 2017, at First Health Hospice House in Pinehurst.

She was born in Surry County, on Feb. 17, 1936, to the late Burga D. Key and Rosa Brown Key.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Nickens and several brothers and sisters.  Mrs. Nickens was a retired Cafeteria Manager for Moore County Schools.

She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Yarborough and Richard of Fayetteville and Cheryl Collins and David of Cameron; three grandchildren, Aaron Yarborough and Jennifer, Brandon Morris and Trinity, Nicole Morris; and three great grandchildren, Skyler Yarborough, Taylor Morris and Koral Morris-Hennings.

The visitation will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2017, 6~8PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  The funeral will be held Wed., May 31, 2017, 11AM at Cameron Baptist Church with Dr. Wayne Greene presiding.  Burial will follow in the Cameron Church Cemetery.
