Marguerite “Rita” Rose Kalb Armstrong, age 77, of Sanford, NC, died Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

She was born in Kent, Washington on March 4, 1940 to the late Ernest Kalb and Melanie Mauch Kalb.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Terry Ray Armstrong; four brothers and one sister.  Mrs. Armstrong was a loving homemaker and loved to travel with her husband.  They were able to visit all 50 States.

She is survived by her husband Roland James Armstrong; son Lavern Gerald Armstrong of California; daughters Dawn Marie Armstrong and Valerie Kay Crankshaw both of Sanford; and three grandchildren Ashley Lynn Crankshaw, Laura Katheryn Crankshaw and Michael Thomas Crankshaw.
