Mrs. Margie Gunter Hall, age 81, of Sanford, N.C., died Friday, Sept. 18, 2015.

Mrs. Hall was a long-time member of the Sanford Church of God.  Margie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She was viewed by many as one of the sweetest, loving, caring, and sharing ladies they had ever known.

Mrs. Hall was born on Nov. 2, 1933, in Lee County, N.C. to the late Oscar Raymond Gunter and Altie Maddox Gunter.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Hall Shackelford and brothers, Rev. Clarence Gunter and wife, Coleen, Carl Gunter and Jimmy Gunter.  

Surviving relatives include her husband, Ralph Hall and son, Greg Hall of the home; three grandchildren, Ryan Shackelford and wife Rachel, Josh Shackelford and wife Brandi, and Anthony Hall and wife Crystal; and eight great-grandchildren: Madison, Riley, Landon, Devon, Haylee, Laycee, Ethan, and Brooklyn.

The family will receive friends Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015, from 1:30 to 3:00 PM at the Sanford Church of God.  The funeral will follow at 3:00 PM also at Sanford Church of God with Pastor David Kimbrell and Pastor Dwayne Dickerson officiating.  Burial will follow at Shallow Well Cemetery.
