Margie Lee Douglas Griffin, age 71, of Broadway, NC, died Monday, June 5, 2017 at First Health Hospice House in Moore County, NC.

She was born in Lee County on June 30, 1945 to the late Mack Douglas and Mollie Creed Douglas.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Harold Griffin and a grandson Damon Harris.   Margie graduated from Benhaven High School Class of 1963 and was a member of Shallow Well Church.  She worked for A&P Grocery Store for 30 years and loved camping at the beach.

She is survived by a son Jeff Griffin of Broadway; daughter Angela Douglas and husband Kelly of Lemon Springs; brother Jimmy Mack Douglas and wife Joan of West End; sisters Maxine Styers of Johnsonville, Annie Douglas Angel of Sanford; grandchildren Michelle Douglas, Hunter Douglas, Kelsey Douglas, Lynn Harris and Ashley Harris; and great-grandchildren Mekenzie, Austin, Riley and Jase Harris.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and at other times at the family home.  A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Shallow Well Church cemetery with Rev. Donald Thompson and Rev. David Cannady officiating.
