Mr. Junior Emory Holder, age 89, of Sanford, NC, died on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the home of his son.

He was born in Harnett County on August 24, 1928 to the late Russell James Holder and Ivy Thomas Holder.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jean Hobson Holder and a daughter, Linda Darlene Watson.  Prior to his retirement, Junior worked for many years in brick manufacturing.

Junior is survived by his two sons, Sammy James Holder of Lillington and David Wayne Holder and wife, Donna of Sanford; one daughter, Barbara Jean Vanover and husband, Charles of Sanford; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Wilson officiating.  The burial will follow at 3:30 PM in Spring Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery located at 1960 Spring Hill Church Road, Lillington, NC 27546.
