Julianne Marie Alexander, born April 23, 1957, passed away at the FirstHealth Hospice House on Monday afternoon, May 16, 2016, after a brief illness.  She was the daughter of the late Thomas Takach and Mary Takach of Williamsport, PA.  She is survived by her mother, brother Thomas Steven Takach (Janice), brother Michael John Takach of Williamsport and husband Steven Alexander of Lemon Springs, NC; along with many nieces and nephews.

Julianne served in the US Air Force for 5 years that were distinguished by the fact that she was one of the first female Power Production Engine-generator technicians in the Air Force as well as one of, if not the first, female technician to serve at a remote facility.

She was a long-term member of National and International Service organizations and will be remembered for her giving spirit and inspirational attitude.

A memorial service will be held Monday, May 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Lemon Springs United Methodist Church in Lemon Springs.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her memory to Gateway for Cancer Research, 1336 Basswood Road, Schaumberg, IL 60173.
