Joseph Harold Wilson, age 73, of Sanford, NC, passed away on March 25, 2017 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC.

He was born in Lee County, NC on October 19, 1943 to the late Carlie Wilson and Beulah Edwards Lindbaugh.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Evans Wilson and two granddaughters, Brittany and Lynsey Wilson.  Joseph served his country in the United States Army. He was a carpenter and enjoyed fishing at the river.

Surviving relatives include his four sons, Joseph Allen Wilson and his wife, Lora, John Wilson and his wife, Stephanie, Timothy Darrell Wilson and wife, Kim and Jeffery Harold Wilson and finance, Tiffany all of Broadway, NC; one daughter, Belinda Woodall and husband, James of Sanford, NC; two sisters, Judy Godfrey of Tramway and Edith Gunter and her husband, Jimmy of Sanford, NC.  He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be in the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Darrell Wood officiating.  Burial will follow at Morris Chapel UMC cemetery with military honors.
