Joseph Robert Baker, age 66, of Cameron, NC, died Friday, August 18, 2017 at UNC Hospital.

He was born in Graves County, KY on March 2, 1951 to the late Robert A. Baker and Julia Hargrove Baker.  He was owner of B&B Transport Company.  He also served his country and was retired from the Air Force.

Mr. Baker is survived by his wife, Lana Darlene Jackson Baker; four sons, Joseph Robert Baker, Jr of El Centro, CA., Richard Andrew Baker and wife, Jolen of Vista, CA., Michael Joe Wesley Baker of Cameron, NC, William Dale Kelly, Jr. of Cameron, NC; two daughters, Linda Michelle Brouwer of Cameron, NC and Tina Loraine Edmonds and husband, Scott of Carthage, NC; brother, James Richard Baker and wife, Vickie of KY; sister, Joan Elizabeth Clark and husband, Gene of KY and eleven grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  The funeral service will follow on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lemon Springs United Methodist Church cemetery.
