Johnny Milton Godfrey, age 74, of Sanford, NC, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Central Carolina Hospital.

Mr. Godfrey was born in Lee County, on March 20, 1941, to the late Milton Godfrey and Willie McGhee Godfrey.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by Mark Anthony Godfrey, Carlie Dale Godfrey, Angela Godfrey, several brothers and sisters.

Surviving relatives include his wife Judith Wilson Godfrey of the home; sons, Johnny Scott Godfrey of Albemarle, Randall Scott Godfrey of Sanford and Billy Justin Godfrey and Kandice of Pittsboro; a daughter, Amber Gail Godfrey of Albemarle; brothers, Tommy Godfrey and Patty and Daniel Godfrey and Nancy both of Sanford; sisters, Dolly Carmichael and Fred of Sanford, Peggy Godfrey Williams of Raleigh, Joyce Ann Simpson and Johnny of Carthage and Bonnie Carmichael and Jim of Holly Springs, GA; six grandchildren, Chasitie Aleman and Daniel, Carlie Marquina and Josue, Brittany Burch and Jackie, Dylan Godfrey, Allie Godfrey and Christina Godfrey; and twelve great grand-children, Nicholas Sanchez, Anthonie Aleman, Dominic Aleman, Melisa Marquina, Ana Marquina, Joshua Marquina, Pedro Gomez, Gabriel Gomez, Jaiden Burch, Kera Buie, Dixie Buie and Lacy Godfrey.

A visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, 6-8PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  The funeral will be held Friday, Aug. 28^th, 2PM in the Chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Douglas presiding.  Burial will follow in New Life Fellowship Cemetery.
