John Timothy (Tim) Mundy, age 47, of Sanford, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016, at Duke University Hospital in Durham.

Mr. Mundy was born on May 27, 1968, in Richland County, S.C. to Marjorie Donice Long Mundy and the late James Pennington Mundy.  He was a long time member of the Crossroads Ministries Worship Arts Band.  He loved music, his family, and God.  Tim was an avid photographer, animal lover, and a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan.  His tremendous sense of humor brought joy to all who met and knew him.  He worked as a project manager for SchoolDude, a division of Dude Solutions, Inc.

Surviving relatives include his mother Marjorie Long Mundy of Broadway; his wife Christie Lane Mundy of the home; a son Matthew Edward Mundy of Broadway; a step-daughter Ariel Sibbett of Sanford; a brother Jimmy Mundy Jr and wife Angie of Sanford; sisters, Jennifer Mundy Turlington and husband Kevin of Lillington; and Jodie Mundy Shirley and husband Phil of Seneca, S.C.  

The family will receive friends at Crossroads Ministries on Sat., Feb. 20^th, from 2 to 4PM and other times at the home of Jim and Angie Mundy, 2609 Bristol Way, Sanford, NC.  A private burial will precede the services.  A celebration of Tim’s life will be conducted following the visitation at 4PM with Pastor John Sauls, II, Pastor John Sauls, III and Pastor Mark Whitfield officiating.
