John Howard Wall, age 85, of Sanford, died Tuesday, December 6, 2016.

He was a native of Yadkin County, born on September 24, 1931, to the late John A. and Rosie S. Wall. Mr. Wall served his country in the US Army and was retired from the City of Sanford after 37 years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Elizabeth Dickens Wall and Patty Bacon Wall; infant daughter, Johnie Nicole Wall; brother, Roy Lee Wall of Carthage and niece, Sharon Stutts of Carthage.

Surviving relatives include his brother, Paul A. Wall and wife, Doris of Sanford; and one sister, Marie Wall Stutts of Carthage, NC; three nieces and three nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, 11AM at Shallow Well Cemetery with Chaplain Joel Cameron presiding.  The family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, from 6 to 7:30PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.
