John Thor Tollevsen, age 64, of Cameron, NC, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC.

John was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 12, 1952 to Margaret McNichol Tollevsen and the late Thor Tollevsen.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Tollevsen; father-in-law, Virgil Nalley and sister-in-law, Kimberly Nalley. He worked as a bookkeeper in the banking industry.

Surviving relatives include his mother, Margaret Tollevsen of Cameron, NC; wife, Lisa Nalley Tollevsen of the home; brother, Glenn Tollevsen and his wife Annamarie of Cameron, NC; mother-in-law, Ruby Nalley of Cameron, NC; sister-in-law, Karen Leander and husband, Manny; brother-in-law, Brian Nalley of Cameron, NC and his four nephews, Glenn, Jr., Christopher, Robert and Thomas Tollevsen all of Cameron, NC.

The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall at Hillmon Grove Baptist Church on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 2:30 PM with the memorial service following at 2:30 in the church with the Rev. Wayne O’Quinn officiating.  At other times, the family will receive friends at his mother’s home located at 280 Bret Road, Cameron, NC and also at the home of Ruby Nalley at 129 Old Highway NC 87, Cameron, NC.
