Mr. John Dwight Hubbell, age 80, of Cameron, NC, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Central Carolina Hospital.

He was born in Broome County, NY on September 8, 1935 to the late John Townsend Hubbell and Ruth Dillonback Hubbell.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Sue Hubbell and brother Ronnie Hubbell.  Mr. Hubbell was retired from the United States Air Force.

He is survived by three daughters Debbie Scaggs and husband Danny, Linda Jean Thomas and husband Charlie and Ruth Ann Johnson and husband Chris all of Sanford; one sister Shirley Schwarz of Gloversville, NY; six grandchildren Kathy Scaggs Dwyer, Jennifer Thomas Goldberg, Jeremy Lyle Thomas, Linda Sue Johnson Reeves, Bryan Lee Johnson and Hannah Grace Johnson and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 15, 2016 at 5:00 PM in the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Hallead officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at the funeral home.
